january_15_2014Apartment 11 series “Finding Stuff Out” and “Cross Country Fun Hunt” have received 4 Canadian Screen Award nominations.

“Finding Stuff” out was nominated for Best Children’s or Youth Non Fiction Program or Series, as well as for Best Writing in a Children’s or Youth Program or Series.

“Cross Country Fun Hunt” also received a nod for Best Children’s or Youth Non Fiction Program or Series, and has been nominated for Best Cross-Platform Project – Children’s and Youth.

Finding Stuff Out is a show that gives kids what they want: answers to the questions that matter to them! Each episode answers questions from real kids like “Why does the moon follow you?”, “Do plants think?”, “Why do we have to eat?” and “Why can’t everything be solar-powered?”. Harrison is the host and he digs up the answers by doing experiments, getting the coolest guests and researching the most incredible facts ever.

Cross Country Fun Hunt is a fully integrated multimedia project involving a rich interactive website, social media and kids controlling the action of live events, 25 webisodes and a 13 X 30 TV series. Jordan Francis (“Camp Rock 2,” “Connor Undercover”) hits the road for the ultimate cross-Canada summer road trip – stopping to visit several of the fun destinations kids put up on the Cross Country Fun Hunt interactive virtual map. All destinations entered on the Fun Hunt map are entered into a contest for the series’ grand prize: a Fun Hunt concert for the winning community and title of “Most Fun Place in Canada.”

The CANADIAN SCREEN AWARDS recognize excellence in film, television and digital media productions.
