Canada\u2019s public broadcaster has unveiled its kids programming slate for 2025\/2026, and it includes a dance-centric live-action series for tweens.<\/p>\n

Apartment 11 Productions (Interstellar Ella<\/em>) and Avenida Productions (The Outlaw League<\/em>) teamed up to co-produce\u00a0The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia\u00a0<\/em>(pictured, eight x 12 minutes), about a 13-year-old hip-hop dancer whose life turns upside down when she\u2019s diagnosed with cancer. This project was adapted from Avenida\u2019s French-language series\u00a0Jenny<\/em><\/a>, and Canadian author Catherine Hernandez (Scarborough<\/em>) is behind the scripts. It\u2019s in post-production now and will be delivered later this month to debut in the fall.<\/p>\n

A CBC Original, The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia<\/em>\u00a0was produced by Apartment 11 and Avenida Productions with the participation of the Canada Media Fund, Telus Fund, Shaw Rocket Fund, the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit and the Quebec Film and Television Tax Credit, and was developed with the participation of the Bell Fund.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
