Have your kids ever wondered why bubbles are always round or why so many musical instruments are made of cylinders? With back to school on the horizon, kids can brush up on their geometry skills and get the answers with\u00a0LOOK KOOL<\/a>. An educational children\u2019s series targeting kids aged six to nine, LOOK KOOL teaches math using skits, cartoons, and 3D special effects.<\/p>\n

In this new live-action series, the hilarious host Hamza and his mischievous robot cat show viewers how geometry is found in the world around us, from roller coasters to Frisbees and bicycles to ice cream cones. Real kids help Hamza solve a mathematical mystery in each episode, stemming from questions such as, \u201cHow can you make your bike more aerodynamic?\u201d<\/p>\n

Filmed in Montreal and Ontario by Apartment 11 Productions, the 16 x 30-minute episodes of LOOK KOOL engage young audiences with fascinating discoveries, helping them to learn about STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics), core skills that build a solid foundation for inside and outside the classroom.<\/p>\n

Kids can get a sneak peek of LOOK KOOL on\u00a0tvokids.com<\/a>\u00a0on Friday, August 28 during TVOKids\u2019 online Sneak Peek Week beginning August 24; the series makes its TV debut on Friday, September 4 at 5:30 pm (ET) during TVOKids\u2019 On-Air Sneak Peek Week starting August 31. LOOK KOOL settles into its regular timeslots each Friday at 5:00 pm (ET) with repeats on Saturdays at 12:00 pm (ET) and Sundays at 10:30 am (ET). After each TV broadcast viewers can visit the LOOK KOOL website for videos, downloadable activities and games at\u00a0http:\/\/www.tvokids.com\/games\/lookkool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kids can have fun while deepening their knowledge of geometry in a way that is difficult to reproduce in a scholastic context,\u201d says Jonathan Finkelstein, President of Apartment 11 and the show\u2019s Executive Producer.<\/p>\n

\u201cTVOKids is all about learning in a fun way with content based on the Ontario school curriculum,\u201d said Marney Malabar, Director, Kids TV, TVO. \u201cThe series does a great job of bringing geometry to life and helping kids develop essential STEAM skills that empower them to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.\u201d<\/p>\n
