Way Off Broadway Interactive extended the Way Off Broadway franchise to the internet. Show background information was a popular feature and cast bios allowed visitors to leave comments for their favourite cast members.

The most exciting feature was the “Virtual Cast”. As viewers followed the trials and tribulations of our amateur cast as they struggled to bring their performances to a level that was ready for public scrutiny, many at home were undoubtedly thinking, “I can do better than that!” And we gave them a chance to try; viewers submitted their own audition videos which were sometimes funny and sometimes sublime! The top performances were rewarded with membership in the Way Off Broadway Virtual Cast.
