About the Show
Children’s Documentary Series
6-9 year-olds
2 seasons – 37 x 7’ episodes
Sunny’s Quest features first-person stories told by Black children from across the country. Each episode showcases a different child and their unique perspective on their day-to-day hobbies, their talents, and heritage. Some of the amazing children we meet include a 10-year-old Canadian hockey prodigy from Halifax, Nova Scotia, whose family hails from Zimbabwe and the Netherlands; twin 8-year-old Nigerian immigrant girls, who explore the history of Black Nova Scotians at the Africville Museum and an 8-year-old Canadian-Eritrean girl residing in Orléans, Ottawa, whose passions include science, soccer, and upholding her Eritrean traditions.
